International Student Services

Once you have been accepted into ECE, the International Relations Department will be your main point of contact to complete administrative and logistical matters prior to your arrival in Paris. The International Relations Department is responsible for all arriving non-French students studying at ECE, as well as all ECE French students leaving to study abroad. In addition to this, it is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with other international universities for exchange, double degrees, summer and short-term visiting programs.

As part of the administrative procedures, the International Relations Department is here to help you with the formalities of living and studying in France. They will be able to advise you on issues such as:

  • Visa information and contacts for application (Campus France or French Consulate Visa section).
  • Residence permits (carte de séjour) after arriving in France.
  • Finding accommodation in Paris.
  • How to apply for government housing subsidies.
  • Social Security and Health Insurance Information.
  • Opening a bank account in France.
  • All other administrative issues after arrival in France: electricity contracts, cellphone contracts and transportation.

The International Relations Department also organizes and supervises the international student association.

Induction/Orientation Week

During the first week of the program, the International Department will organize Induction/Orientation sessions where students will be provided with all the information required to complete the administrative formalities necessary to make your time in France as stress free as possible.

During the same week, the Academic Affairs Office will also organize meetings and presentations where various Academic Heads of the different specializations will present the contents of their modules, the ge
neral program overview, and the Rules and Regulations of the program.

Both offices work closely together in order to make sure International students are able to attend the essential sessions organized by each office.

Induction week is also a time for students to get to know their French counterparts, and activities are arranged daily to encourage students to explore Paris and socialize with new fellow students.

ECE international is an ECE Paris student association which helps integrate international students into Paris life. Our objective is to help students adjust to their daily life when they come to Paris. Four words accurately define our daily work with the students: gatherings, presence, work and companionship. Gatherings refers to the activities we organize with the international students throughout the year. For instance, museums or get-togethers are important activities when one first comes to Paris. We also try to “break-up groups”. Indeed some groups are often composed of student of the same “nationality”, our role is to break up these groups and make everyone feel comfortable with each other. To this end we organize several events with the international students, such as discovering bars, throwing parties, treasure hunts, games and trips around Paris. The second word is presence: our association organizes plenty of activities during the year but we don’t let up during vacations!!! Indeed during school breaks, the members of the association who remain in Paris organize special events such as visiting a “chocolate exposition”. The third keyword is work, as a student of ECE Paris the international students really want to do their best in their new courses. For this reason we organize special tutoring sessions in order to help students having any difficulties in class. The last word is companionship, which represents our system of mentoring that assigns a mentor to each international student, referred to as a buddy, in order to have a particular student help discover things that one might not have time for if acting alone.

ECE Paris is a member of INSEEC U.

INSEEC U. is the leading French Group in private higher education with International campuses ; in San Francisco, London, Shanghai, Monaco and Geneva.
